TSPS is excited to launch its inaugural Boot Camp ‘25 program at The UT Houston School of Medicine in collaboration with the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and with support from Plastic Surgery programs and faculty across the state. The initial program was created by ASPS in 2018 to address evolving trends in graduate medical education. The TSPS Boot Camp program aims to aid the transition of Integrated and Independent residents into Plastic Surgery training by offering standardized exposure to crucial clinical content. The program is designed to ensure accountability in trainee education and to stay at the forefront of adult surgical education. This new event will also build community and mentorship among the next generation of plastic surgeons, featuring distinguished academic leaders—including program directors and chairs—who are committed to fostering meaningful connections. While this is the first time the program is being held in Texas, we are hopeful it will be as impactful and well-received as it has been in other regions.
