The person who submits the abstract must present the abstract. (Should issues arise, accommodations can be approved on a case-by-case basis.)
Each Resident/Fellow paper must be ready for oral presentation at the meeting (in PowerPoint format) and not exceed 5 minutes.
If your abstract claims improvements, from either cosmetic or reconstructive, you must provide photographs/images to support those claims.
Additional details on presentations will be emailed to you after acceptance.
ABSTRACT DETAILS:
Title and Presenters name at the top of the document.
Single-spaced, 500-word, one-page document only.
Files should be saved as a PDF.
Submit application ONLY when you are submitting with a PDF attachment.
The application will not allow you to go back to upload a PDF at a later date.
Submissions without an attachment will be deleted to avoid duplicates.
Selected finalists will be notified by Sept 5 and present platform presentations on Friday, Sept. 26.
ABSTRACT & POSTER COMPETITION AWARDS Judging is coordinated through the TSPS Awards Committee and awards will be presented throughout the annual meeting.
CRONIN AWARD: Best Overall Paper submitted by a Senior Resident. (Senior status is defined as a physician in their last year of resident training before beginning fellowship.)
BEST CLINICAL PAPER AWARD: First and second places to be awarded to a winning Resident and/or Fellow.
BEST SCIENCE PAPER AWARD: First and second places to be awarded to a winning Resident and/or Fellow.
MEDICAL STUDENT POSTER AWARD: Presented to the best overall poster to a winning Medical Student.
BLOCKER BOWL: This "traveling trophy" is awarded to the Highest Scoring Plastic Surgery Residency Program. Scoring is weighted by the number of presenters from each program.
